Shawl: large wide rectangular veil made from a base of off-white cotton, diagonally twisted net decorated with hand-stitched, off-white muslin appliqué in a pattern of formalised flowers and trailing stems. Deep, scalloped borders in a floral design surround the edges of the veil.
