About this work
Lorraine ‘Bunta’ Patten was a respected Gunditjmara Elder, community leader and artist. Raised on Framlingham Aboriginal Reserve, she dedicated her life to fighting injustices faced by south-east First Nations peoples. In 2000 Patten undertook a diploma in Aboriginal arts through the RMIT Indigenous Arts Unit, creating charcoal and oil drawings that celebrate the beauty of her Country.
