Physical description
Dress comprising black silk georgette bodice attached to a voluminous cream calico skirt. The bodice is pleated from the shoulder seam to the waist and sits open at centre front to expose the décolleté. The fabric is decorated with white liquid paper blotting. The long calico skirt is heavily pleated at the waist and fastens with three metal press studs on a leather strap. The skirt wraps around the body to hang in irregular loose folds at side front. The calico is decorated with blotting of black ink and white liquid paper.
