Physical description
Outfit comprising shirt, jean, titi and headpiece. The red cotton shirt features a cream coloured front panel hand-printed in black and yellow with a design drawn from an artwork by John Pule titled 'Lets Gather Here'. The shirt fastens centre back with a red zip. The dark brown sueded cotton jeans are hand-printed in red in a design drawn from the same artwork. The jeans have a fly front and pair of patch pockets at the back. The titi (dance skirt) has a wide leather waist belt, fastening with two buckles and fringed skirt made of hand-printed cotton. The moulded perspex headpiece was made by Margo Barton for Doris de Pont and features a printed design of hibiscus and detail of John Pule artwork.
