Physical description
Dramatic wide-brimmed hat made of beige coloured Sinamay (fibre from the abaca plant) trimmed with a black patent 1930s vintage straw braid around the outer edge. A large floating knot made of the same vintage straw is positioned on the top. The shallow crown is lined with cream acetate and the hat is secured to the head with a metal comb and a length of black hat elastic.
