About this work

Born around 1930 in Kali Tjukaru, Harry Tjutjuna is a highly respected artist, loreman and ngankari (healer) in the Aṉangu Pitjanjatjara Yankuntjatjara (APY) lands. In 2005, he concentrated on painting at Ernabella Arts, strengthening male representation at the centre. This painting captures the Kunga Tjuta, which depicts the story of women journeying across their ancestral lands, blending cultural storytelling with his distinct use of colour and artistic expression.
