Telstra Into Art series: App Artists

Join us for a digital art adventure. The worlds of visual art and digital technology come together as students explore and discuss a diverse selection of artworks and use a variety of iPad apps to respond creatively and develop ideas for digital artmaking inspired by what they see.

This two-hour program includes an iPad orientation session and time at the conclusion of the program for students to export their work .

5th Generation iPad Air devices and Apple Pencils will be provided for participants.

This program is suitable for all students regardless of their experience with devices and digital technologies.

Students will:

• Develop visual literacy skills through observation and interpretation of works of art and design from different cultural, historical and contemporary contexts
• Produce creative responses such as digital paintings, drawings and collages to works in the NGV Collection
• Develop confidence in generating unique ideas and concepts through working with digital and virtual technologies
