Critically engage with the work of women photographers from 1900 to 1975 and examine how photography was used to express identity, document political movements and challenge dominant narratives. Spanning portraiture, photomontage, fashion and photojournalism, students will consider photography’s role as both artistic practice and social commentary, highlighting feminist perspectives and the shifting cultural contexts that shaped these diverse image-makers.
