Introducing QUEER: Stories from the NGV Collection

TEXT AND PERFORMANCE

These 10-minute talks introduce some of the stories and themes in QUEER: Stories from the NGV Collection. Catch one in the Great Hall before you see the exhibition, drop by afterwards or watch online.

Up next: Text and performance – NGV curator Angela Hesson introduces queer stories from page and stage as represented by artworks from the NGV Collection in the exhibition. From William Shakespeare to Colette to the Ballets Russes, Angela explores the various ways that queerness has been expressed (and sometimes supressed) in literature and performance.

Ideas discussed by Angela during this talk will intersect with the conversation she will be having with Clara Tuite.
