Win a fabulous dinner for you and ten friends created by Melbourne’s top chefs

The National Gallery of Victoria has announced the major prize for its My Top Ten online competition.

World renowned Chef Philippe Mouchel will mastermind the menu, working with Terry Clark from Peter Rowland Catering to create a feast for the senses.

The ten course degustation dinner for the My Top Ten winner and ten of their friends will be held in the Great Hall at the NGV.  Each of the ten courses will be inspired by the works that make up the My Top Ten.  The winner will also have a private tour of the Gallery.

The My Top Ten competition closes on 17 April and the NGV invites you to vote online for your favourite works of art from the Gallery’s Collection.

To make voting a little easier, 150 works from the NGV Collection have been chosen. These works span the fifteen decades of the NGV’s history and My Top Ten participants are encouraged to post comments about the works for which they are voting.

Each of the top ten works on display will be accompanied by a special NGV 150 wall label. These labels will include a selection of comments and personal responses made by voters.

The ten most popular works will form part of a special NGV 150 self-guided trail which will be launched on the NGV 150 pARTy weekend on 28–29 May 2011.

Visit mytopten.ngv.vic.gov.au   and help determine the NGV’s best loved works of art.
