In Absence, an installation created by 2019 Architecture Commission winners Yhonnie Scarce and Melbourne architecture studio Edition Office invites audiences to understand the fallacy of the premise of terra nullius, which declared Australia as an emptiness awaiting ownership. The work features 1600 black glass Murnong (yams) by Yhonnie Scarce.
