Led by Associate Director of Conservation, Michael Varcoe-Cocks, learn more about the exact science involved in preserving delicate and detailed historical masterpieces, as well as large-scale contemporary works, for the long-term preservation of the NGV Collection.

We also explore the processes involved in returning artworks, following the conclusion of the exhibition Gabrielle Chanel. Fashion Manifesto, and look at returning Ron Mueck’s installation Mass (2016 – 2017) to display, this time at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia.
