Art Party: CARTIER will be held on Saturday 1 August, 6–9pm at NGV International at 180 St. Kilda Road, Melbourne.
The NGV Teen program has a range of events, programs, and resources for teens. The NGV Teens: Art Party is held twice a year and is an unforgettable evening for teens (aged 12–18) to visit the Gallery and enjoy art, music, and creative activities in a fun, safe and welcoming space.
By opening the doors exclusively to teens, NGV aims to cultivate a lifelong appreciation for art and creativity among teens, encouraging them to explore their own artistic interests, perspectives and meet new people.
At NGV Teens: Art Party you will find a range of activities to choose from including exploring the exhibitions, joining a range of creative workshops and activities, or enjoying live music and DJ sets. There’s also places to rest, relax and talk to friends.
NGV Teens: Art Party is for high school students aged 12–18 years. Attendees need to present a valid school ID, Victorian Student Pass, or proof of age to enter. If you’re unsure about your eligibility or don’t have one of these forms of ID, contact us in advance.
NGV Teens: Art Party is a supervised event, and parents and carers are encouraged to drop off teens. Those who need to stay will be asked to wait in a separate lounge.
We have trained security and first aid providers on site and all our staff, contractors, and performers are inducted with NGV Child Safe Standards. The NGV is committed to the safety and well-being of all young people and has zero tolerance to any form of child abuse and racial discrimination.

If you plan to buy food, please bring cash or card. Refillable water bottles must be emptied before entering, but you can refill them at the water tap inside.
Art Party is your night to wear what makes you feel good. Dress up or dress down. Come as a character, showcase your own designs or wear a favourite outfit.
Doors open at 6pm, with entry and exit via the Waterwall entrance at 180 St Kilda Road. If you need to leave before the event ends at 9pm, you’ll need to contact your parent or guardian and sign out, and please note there’s no re-entry or passouts once you’ve left.
The Gallery closes at 9pm sharp and we recommend organising your transport home in advance. The traffic on St. Kilda Road can be busy on a Saturday night so we recommend parents and guardians take that into account when collecting their teen.
