The NGV invites people living with dementia, along with their family, friends and carers, to connect with art through enriching experiences that promote discovery, creativity, and social interactions.

Connect and Create: Spring Series 2025
Join us for a series of six sessions that each include a small group discussion focused on one to two artworks in the Gallery, followed by a hands-on artmaking activity in the studio. Each two-hour session features different works of art and artmaking techniques.

The Connect and Create series is facilitated by trained NGV Educators. These free dementia-friendly sessions offer a relaxed pace and supportive environment. No prior art knowledge or experience is required.

This program is offered as a series of six fortnightly sessions, and by booking, you are signing up to attend the full series. If you are unable to join a session, we kindly ask that you inform us in advance.
