Traditionally, the Australian Art Galleries at the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia have opened with the story of British arrival. The NGV has recently unveiled an innovative display which recontextualises the collection. With the inclusion of historical and contemporary First Nations art in each gallery space, this rehang commemorates 65,000 years of continued First Nations artistic and cultural practice.
Join NGV Senior Curator Myles Russell-Cook and Curator Beckett Rozentals to hear the curatorial vision behind the new display, and discover the stories behind a selection of works included.
