Be among the first school groups to explore NGV’s vibrant and celebratory exhibition Let’s Party – NGV Fashion for Kids. Presented by NGV Educators, this free virtual program will introduce students to some spectacular and surprising garments and accessories from the NGV’s Fashion and Textiles Collection. Get a glimpse of the immersive and playful exhibition space designed by Australian designer, Danielle Brustman. Then, get creative and have some end-of-year fun with drawing and design activities inspired by the exhibition.

Students participating in this program will need:

  • Two sheets of A4 plain drawing paper
  • Colour pencils

Cost: Free
Duration: 1 hour

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn about the presentation of key artworks in NGV’s exhibition, Let’s Party – NGV Fashion for Kids.
  • Identify key elements and motifs in a range of garments and accessories from the NGV Collection including the use of colour, form, pattern and materials.
  • Create unique drawings which explore the concept of fashion as self-expression.
