Wurrdha Marra means ‘Many Mobs’ in Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung language and this is the name given to a gallery at the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia dedicated to sharing the work of First Nations artists. This introduction to Wurrdha Marra will discuss works by artists from different time periods and regions and explore diverse approaches that artists take to maintaining and regenerating cultural knowledge and practices while also creating new forms of expression.
