Celebrating the opening of Kimono, explore the enduring influence of Japanese kimono and style on global fashion and art, as we consider the kimono’s vibrant lineage from Edo-period craftsmanship to contemporary avant-garde design.

Through a series of spotlight talks by NGV curators and specialists in Japanese fashion and cultural history, learn about exquisite garments, rare artworks, and masterful textile techniques as we journey through Japanese history and style.
