Join the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) and the Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT) for a cross‑gallery tour that explores how First Nations artworks are cared for and preserved. Led by Genevieve Sullivan, NGV Conservator of Indigenous Art and Katherine Giesen‑White, KHT Collections Coordinator, this all‑ages experience offers insight into conservation practices across both institutions.
The program begins at NGV with Sullivan guiding visitors through selected First Nations works in MOTHER: Stories from the NGV Collection. The tour then continues at the Koorie Heritage Trust, where Giesen‑White will share knowledge about the making and conservation of possum skin cloaks.
Meet at the Information Desk on the Ground Floor of The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, Fed Square. Bookings are recommended.
