Jon Campbell (artist), Bronwyn Johnson (publisher) and Aaron Beehre (designer) will discuss the origins and presentation of No Planet B, an artist’s book of 15 risograph prints responding to the black summer bushfires, the Covid-19 pandemic and the climate emergency unfolding before us. Points of discussion include, the projects history, friendship, process, climate change, production, and collaboration. The talk will conclude with a musical performance from Jon and Aaron.

Aaron Beehre

Aaron is a graphic designer residing in Otautahi Christchurch New Zealand. Along with colleague Luke Wood he founded the Ilam Press, a small-run publishing project based at the University of Canterbury. He has been fortunate to work with great artists, writers and publishers over the last twenty years and has received numerous awards including a Gold Pin at the New Zealand Best Awards and a Best in Show at the MAPDA’s.

Jon Campbell

Jon is a Naarm Melbourne based artist. He has been a constant fixture on the Australian art scene since the mid-1980’s. Current exhibitions include, Melbourne Now, NGVA (2023), Just Not Australian, Museum of Sydney (2023) and Australiana: Designing a Nation, Bendigo Art Gallery (2023). Awards include, Western Roads Upgrade Commission (2021), Monash University Studio Residency, Prato, Italy (2019), Greene Street Studio Residency NY, Australia Council (2015), The Basil Sellers Art Prize (2012). His work is held in numerous public and private collections including, National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Art Gallery of New South Wales.
