Will Labor’s foreign policy honeymoon last? What will be on the program when Anthony Albanese hosts the Quad leaders from the United States, Japan and India? How will Australia’s upcoming decision on nuclear-powered submarines be received in the region? Will China recover from Covid and return to growth?

The panel will be chaired by Daniel Flitton, Managing Editor of the Lowy Institute’s international magazine The Interpreter, and include Institute experts Meg Keen, Director, Pacific Islands Program; Richard McGregor, Senior Fellow for East Asia; Sam Roggeveen, Director, International Security Program; and Lydia Khalil, Research Fellow, Transnational Challenges.
