This August, discover how art can be a meaningful tool for supporting wellbeing and developing emotional literacy. Using works from the NGV Collection, we will explore strategies for fostering student wellbeing through mindfulness, creativity and reflection. The session is designed for teachers and pre-service teachers across all year levels and curriculum areas, including the Personal and Social Capability, and offers practical ways to integrate wellbeing practices into everyday teaching through visual art.
- Identify the relationship between participating in art-based activities and positive wellbeing
- Build confidence in using art-based strategies for fostering mindfulness
- Learn practical strategies to engage students in recognising, understanding, and evaluating the expression of emotions through art
