Take some time out after class to recharge and reflect through art! Join our free monthly Art After School sessions online to get together with like-minded colleagues who share an interest in Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS). Led by NGV Educator and trained VTS facilitator, Leah Santilli, these online discussions use VTS to explore works of art from the NGV Collection. Connect with fellow educators, share insights, and strengthen your own VTS skills through guided discussion and reflection.

Open to educators of all experience levels, however, some familiarity with VTS is beneficial.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop confidence in using VTS in classrooms and other learning environments through participation in VTS discussions
  • Engage with fellow educators to deepen understanding and practice of VTS

AITSL Standards

  • 3.3 Select and use relevant teaching strategies to develop knowledge, skills, problem solving and critical and creative thinking
  • 6.2 Participate in learning to update knowledge and practice, targeted to professional needs and school and/or system priorities

About the Facilitator

Leah has completed formal facilitation and coaching training with Visual Thinking Strategies and has led VTS discussions with teachers, students and visitors across the NGV’s Collection and with the global VTS community online.
