The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia
The Ways of Making program series offers an opportunity for educators to explore the ideas and creative processes of artists and designers in the NGV Collection to learn practical skills for the classroom.
In September, join NGV educators and artist Kenny Pittock for a day of play-inspired creativity. Begin the day with a tour of the Collection with experiential learning activities that encourage playful interactions. Enjoy an artist talk with Kenny Pittock about his work, creative practice and finding humour in everyday life. In the afternoon, join Kenny for a series of lively drawing activities in the Gallery followed by a practical, still-life sculpture workshop in the studio full of tips, tricks and fun for teachers of all skill levels. Materials that are readily available (or easily substituted) will be used in the program to ensure educators can immediately integrate workshop ideas into classroom teaching.
