Art Party: Westwood | Kawakubo will be held on Saturday 28 March, 6–9pm at NGV International at 180 St. Kilda Road, Melbourne.

People with access needs are welcome to use the priority line at the entrance.
The entrance to NGV International is on street level and has an automatic door. There is a lift from the Arts Centre Melbourne car park to the NGV International entrance.

The exhibition and all public areas in the NGV, including the Gallery Kitchen and NGV design store, are wheelchair accessible.

Any large bags will need to be cloaked. There is a cloakroom near the entrance and the cloaking service is free. Items must be collected before the event finishes.
There are accessible and gender-neutral bathrooms on all levels of NGV International.

Accredited assistance dogs are welcome at the NGV. Please ensure your assistance dog is wearing their jacket while at the Gallery.

The exhibition features fashion garments and accessories, plus archival video and photography content. Some artworks depict nudity and sexual themes.
The exhibition presents an immersive experience which uses flashing lights and other lighting effects, large moving image screens, mirrors, and a fairly loud soundtrack in places.

This exhibition includes photography and video artworks. Some artworks depict nudity, adult themes, and smoking.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are respectfully advised that this exhibition includes images of deceased people.

The Great Hall is a very large room with carpet, bluestone walls and a colourful stained-glass ceiling.
NGV Teens: Art Party presents a range of activities. Inside the Great Hall, a DJ will be playing upbeat music, and many enjoy dancing. There will be coloured and moving lights, plus the use of haze machines. No strobing effects will be used. The music is played at a fairly high volume. You are welcome to bring your headphones or collect some disposable ear plugs from the Information Desk.
The Great Hall is busy and noisy. If you need a lower-sensory area, we recommend visiting the exhibition spaces or the area next to Gallery Kitchen in front of the lift.
The NGV Garden will be closed for Art Party.
Seating can be found throughout the exhibitions. Lightweight fold-out stools are available for free hire from the Information Desk and can be taken into exhibition spaces.
Seating in the public areas includes ottomans, high bars with high stools, low café-style tables and chairs with backs.
A range of snacks and light meals is available, including vegan, vegetarian, and low-gluten options. Items range from $5–$15, and both cash and card are accepted.
A free water station is available next to the Gallery Kitchen near the lift.
Teens who require an adult carer to stay with them during the event for accessibility reasons are very welcome. Please give us a heads-up in advance by by calling (03) 8620 2222 or via our online form.
Adult carers do not require a ticket.
