Unit 3 – SAT 1 – Criterion 2 –

Exploration and development of subject matter and ideas within the design process that are related to concepts and ideas described in the exploration proposal.

Harriet has demonstrated highly creative and insightful approaches to subject matter. She has developed a range of ideas and conceptual possibilities. Harriet has researched artists that inspire her and she is discussing these artists in terms of how she will use similar ideas and techniques within her own art works – highlighted areas show this.

Harriet has provided extensive and thoughtful visual exploration, as well as written documentation that describes her use of the material and techniques she has selected. Her annotation includes discussion regarding the painting surface, and the mixture of the linseed oil with the paint to create different surface techniques.
