Berthe Morisot and Mary Cassatt were central members of the Impressionist circle of nineteenth century France.

Assistant Curator Meg Slater considers their contributions to the Impressionist movement, the social and political context in which they worked and lived, and the legacy they leave both on and beyond the canvas.
