Physical description
A continuous length of white Indian cotton muslin, which has broad, irregular vertical pleats, producing a distorted appearance. Printed with a patchwork design of multi-coloured rectangles, that forms an impression like overlapping electronic screens; the imagery blurred or distorted by light. The printed surface is achieved with a combination of photographic transfer, wax resist, paper stencils and direct painting using two types of fibre reactive dyes.
