Physical description
Hexagonal form tapering towards the top which has a finial in the form of a seated man with a hat, the firgure (which turns) is surrounded by seven modelled cockatoos attached to the body. The piece is supplied with a spherical bead pull to operate the musical mechanism. Figures are decorated in colours, three facets of the box bear a naturalistic landscape of gums and clouds, the remaining three are decorated with an abstract design in pink and shades of grey.
