(a) Cream coloured silk taffeta dress has a long bodice and open skirt. The bodice has a low curved neckline and fitted sleeves that finish at the elbow. The centre front skirt edges, neckline, sleeves and back collar are trimmed in rows of appliqu├ęd pink triangles. Attached at the back of the bodice are two pieces that wrap around and form a laced corset at the front. (b) The cream silk taffeta underskirt is pleated and gathered into a waistband. The waistband fastens at either side with cream cotton tapes, which may or may not be original. There are openings at both sides of the underskirt, beneath the fastening tapes.
