Three-quarter length portrait of a young woman seated in a chair, facing to the right. Her hair is flattened to the sides of the face, looped under the ears and tied to a bun at the back of the head. A brooch is pinned at the centre of the decolletage of the fitted and boned bodice of her dress. The long sleeves are flared from the elbow.
