The dress is created from four multi-coloured geometric style scarves designed by Balmain and entitled "Athenes" scarf No 146. The construction of the dress fuses these pieces together to create a continuous bold pattern. The neckline, side seams and side fasteners are highlighted with a 5cm strip of black organza. The garment is entirely hand finished and stamped with a unique couture number. The matching wrap consists of 6 pieces assemble in an irregular shape featuring 2 large triangular pieces. Geometric motif influenced by the contemporary minimalist art movement.
