Consists of a translucent perspex sphere with a frosted surface and is separated into two halves, joined by a metal hinge. The lower half has an opaque aqua perspex band attached, encircling its circumference, representing the orbit of a satellite. The upper half of the sphere has two bands of gold coloured metal which cross at the top of the sphere and are decorated with large multi-coloured imitation jewels set at regular intervals. The orb is mounted with a three dimensional crusader-style cross, decorated with imitation jewels. The shoulder strap of black leather, is attached by metal loops fixed on either side of the sphere.
