Comprises a customized Levis 'patch' jacket, 'distressed' jeans, 'umbilical cord' belt and 'nude' shell necklace.
a - The customised Levis blue jeans are handsewn overall with Tongan tapa patches in various sized triangular and square shapes. The pieces are handsewn to the denim with jute thread. The simple straight stitches form designs similar to the lines of traditional Samoan tattoos, intensifying the strong geometric lines of the tapa cloth patterns. Sections of the denim are revealed, particularly at the front waistband exposing the original garment underneath. Their are two pockets both front and back, the front pockets have cream cotton lining and one has the Levi label sewn onto it. The jeans are front fastening with five metal buttons stamped with the Levi trademark and the waistband has five belt loops.
b - The matching blue demin jacket is also decorated with patches of tapa cloth hand sewn with jute thread. The collar, cuffs, waistband and expanses of the sleeves and front and back panels are left unpatched, exposing the blue denim which is streaked from the acis wash finish, creating a distressed appearance. The jacket has two button-down pockets at the top left and right front panels and is front fastening with five metal buttons stamped with the Levi trade mark. Denim hanging loop inside c.b. neckline.
c - The 'umbilical cord' belt is plaited from jute in two shades of brown, with a central decoration formed from a polished coconut shell pieced with a cowrie shell. Each end has two split plaited streamers finished with a wooden bead.
d - The necklace is constructed with a cream and white 8-strand plaited nylon cord which is threaded with 8 large shells. A large shell and cord loop are used as a fastening mechanism. At one end there is a decorative tassel of 8 threads each one finished with a tiny shell.
