About this work
‘The horses came over from Sweers and we used to put the kids on the trolley and tie it to a horse, which would drag them into the water. There was a country-singing cowboy called Guy who rode the horse to the pub on Mornington Island and tied him up outside. As soon as he was in the pub we could ride the horse down to the jetty and play in the water. When four hours were up we would take the horse back to the pub and get the security man to go and get Guy. The horse then took Guy home!’
