About this work

Daesamjaknorigae are the largest and most elaborate ornaments worn with ceremonial robes. Displaying precious materials and the finest Korean jewellery artisanship, they are considered the most important part of women’s costume adornment and are essential to complete an ensemble of royal costume. Consisting of three parts, this work features amber carved in the shape of a fingered citron, a pair of butterflies and cluster of coral branches.
