Physical description
Bustle of striped red, cream and fawn cotton with three pairs of cream cotton tapes which tie at waist, lower hip and above knee height. A pleated frill of the same striped cotton is attached at hemline with machine stitching. Two long panels of blue cotton twill are attached to bustle interior, with cream cotton tape laced through hand stitched eyelets along the inner edges. This allows the bustle volume to be adjusted. Sixteen encased half hoops of metal are spaced at regular intervals to hemline.
