Physical description
A series of 5 panels each with a printed garment individually displayed sandwiched between two thick sheets of perspex. (a) A white cotton/lycra T-shirt with a turtle neck and short sleeves printed in black and grey. Printed with an image of two young men standing together, their heads slightly touching, this is repeated on the back. A band of blue gauze runs horizontally across the front, decorated with two rows of silver metallic safety pins. The garment is sandwiched between two pieces of perspex. (b) A white cotton/lycra T-shirt with a turtle neck and short sleeves, printed in black and grey with a photographic image of a dead human foetus. The image is represented on the back and front panels of the garment, blown-up to a scale that covers the entire garment. (c) A white polyester gauze tunic with long sleeves printed in black and grey with a photographic representation of a garment peeled back to reveal a woman's breast. The reverse panel is plain black. (d) A white sleeveless gauze tunic printed in black and grey with a photographic image of a man waving a cardigan above his head. The image is repeated on the back. The neckline and armholes are trimmed with a black and pale blue ribbed knit panel and cuff. (e) A white polyester gauze tunic with long sleeves and a black cotton/lycra yoke, the gauze is printed in black and grey with a photographic image of two boys standing beside a creek. The image is repeated on the back panel.
