Physical description
Cup-shaped vessel with one horizontal and one vertical handle and a shallow ring base with convex underside (covered with label). Decorated in black-glaze with red-figure decoration of an owl between two laurel branches on either side and a black band on the underside. The clay is pink/orange. The painting of the owl is not detailed. The eyes, rendered by black circles, are close together and the beak is a large dot. There are some dots at the tops of the wings.
