Physical description
Fine marble head of Septimius Severus with heavily drilled curly hair and beard, contrasting with the smooth texture of the face. The eyes, slightly turned, gaze into the distance; the nose is broken. The lips are softly modelled. The underlying bone structure is skillfully modelled.
