Art Journal
Edition 27

This edition of the Art Bulletin of Victoria 27 features essays on works from a variety of areas of the NGV’s collection.

Highlights include: Ted Gott’s essay ‘Redon, Mellerio, Mantegna and the Melbourne Pegasus’, Hasso von Winning’s technical examination of a monkey effigy jar from ancient Mexico; Patrick McCaughey provides an analysis of Picasso’s Guernica and Weeping woman.

We are also pleased to include an essay by Peter Tomory titled ‘Henry Fuseli’s Milton when a youth’; and Robyn Cooper’s analysis of Arthur Hughes’s painting La Belle Dame sans merci.

We trust you will enjoy the insights offered in these articles.
