Top Arts 2025 | An introduction

The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia 

Inspire your students with Top Arts 2025. Join an NGV educator for an interactive introductory talk that includes an exhibition overview and an exploration of the ideas, materials, and techniques behind selected artworks. Through the discussion, students will examine the documentation of exhibitors’ creative processes, from exploration to refinement and realisation and gain tips for success in VCE Art Making and Exhibiting and VCE Art Creative Practice.

Students will:

  • Analyse and interpret themes, concepts and ideas in examples of outstanding student work from Top Arts 2025.
  • Analyse and discuss sources of inspiration, materials and processes used by exhibitors.
  • Describe how aesthetic qualities, art elements and art principles, and materials and techniques have been used to support the communication of ideas.

    We require four weeks notice for all bookings.

    Changes to your booking must be made in writing. Changes can be made up to 14 days prior to your visit. Invoices will be sent prior to the visit. Full program fees will be incurred for late cancellations or amendments.

    Please provide details of any relevant themes and skills your students are learning about at school. While we cannot offer individually tailored programs, our museum educators will consider this information when selecting and discussing works of art during the program.
