Top Arts: VCE 2008 Goldman Sachs People's Choice Awards

Top Arts: VCE 2008 has once again proved to be one of the National Gallery of Victoria’s most popular annual exhibitions, with thousands of students, teachers and families visiting the show and voting in the Goldman Sachs JBWere People’s Choice Awards.

NGV Deputy Director, Frances Lindsay, said: “Each year I am amazed by the outstanding talent of our young Victorian artists. We are very proud to be hosting this annual exhibition in its fifteenth year and I congratulate all finalists in the People’s Choice Awards.”

This year, over 17,000 members of the public voted in the Goldman Sachs JBWere People’s Choice Awards. The Awards acknowledge the support provided to the artists by their art teachers and schools with cash prizes awarded to the art department of the winning artists’ schools.

Top Arts features the works of 61 students from government, independent and Catholic schools from across Victoria.
