Prepare to inspire your students and enrich your curriculum with Africa Fashion in this online briefing for educators in schools, TAFEs and universities. Developed by the Victoria and Albert Museum, Africa Fashion is the largest exhibition of its kind to be displayed in an Australian art institution. Learn about the works, themes and ideas featured in the exhibition through an exclusive overview led by NGV fashion curators Danielle Whitfield and Charlotte Botica and discover how to connect Africa Fashion to the classroom in an introduction to learning opportunities for students and teachers by an NGV Educator. 

Educators will:

  • Identify key themes, concepts explored throughout Africa Fashion 
  • Identify teaching and learning opportunities inspired by the exhibition

AITSL Standards:

  • 2.1 Apply knowledge of the content and teaching strategies of the teaching area to develop engaging teaching activities.
  • 6.2 Participate in learning to update knowledge and practice, targeted to professional needs and school and/or system priorities.
