Be part of the NGV teen takeover these school holidays at Art Party with the chance to spend a night surrounded by art and design, meet like-minded people and be one of the first to see KAWS: Companionship in The Age of Loneliness during the opening weekend.
Ages 13 – 17 years, and 18 years with valid secondary school ID.
Tickets will also include exclusive after-hours access to NGV blockbuster exhibitions Terracotta Warriors: Guardians of Immortality and Cai Guo-Qiang: The Transient Landscape, games and live performances by Haiku Hands and DJ Slymewave.
Haiku Hands – individually bossy and collectively strong. This interstate collective has established their presence with the tongue in cheek, rave-inspired Not About You which was ’undeniably one of the best Australian debuts of the year’ (Purple Sneakers). Ringleaders Beatrice Lewis, Claire Nakazawa and Mie Nakazawa curate Haiku Hands, collaborating with some of Australia’s finest to present an energising live experience.
DJ Slymewave aka Joanna Syme from Big Scary will bring the good times. Championing the current indies, getting cheesy with some RnB, or making you move with the heroes of soul.
