Take your pencil on a drawing journey from primi pensieri (an artist’s initial thoughts) to modeli (finished drawings) with Educators from the NGV. Explore the Gallery’s European collection and use supported Italian language to respond to artworks along the way.

Learning Objectives

• Identify and discuss how ideas are expressed in Italian artworks made in different historical contexts
• Use Italian terminology to describe works of art and how they were made
• Produce a series of drawings inspired by the work of Italian artists in the NGV Collection
