Assemble Papers is a biannual print and online publication exploring small footprint living across art, design, architecture, urbanism, the environment and finance.
The Art Book Fair coincides with the recent release of Assemble Papers Issue 5, ‘The Ecological Age’, which celebrates the potential for optimism, transformation and action in our age of the Anthropocene: the ‘human epoch’ in which humans are both problem and solution in this era of climate change. From manufactured weather phenomenon ‘interior clouds’ and microbes to informal settlements and cultural co-existence, Issue 5 is an art-heavy exploration of our potential to transition from outmoded Industrial Age behaviour to an ecological age in which we live within our means. ‘The Ecological Age’ is founding editor Eugenia Lim’s final issue at the helm.
Featuring Eugenia Lim and incoming editor Sara Savage, please join us for a performance-lecture that takes its point of departure from the themes in the issue.
