Photography continues to be one of the most exciting and influential areas of creative practice in contemporary art. NGV Triennial presents photographers from China, Ethiopia, France, Nigeria, South Africa, South Korea, the United States, and Australia. Join Senior Curator of Photography, Susan van Wyk, to learn about the artists and their work with a suite of photographs that confront history, challenge preconceptions of identity, celebrate beauty and embrace what it is to be human.

  • Engage with current international contemporary art and design practice.
  • Analyse and interpret ideas and messages in contemporary photography.
  • Develop practical strategies for exploring Triennial with students in the classroom and Gallery.
