Uncover riveting stories of faith, courage, leadership and integrity as told by works of art and the people who created them and develop strategies for making them accessible and engaging in your classroom.

Whether you are preparing students for sacraments, training them for leadership roles, or looking to supplement personal development programs in your classroom, this afternoon of professional learning will inspire curiosity, reflection and active engagement in your teaching and learning.

Learning Objectives:

  • Analyse and interpret artworks that tell inspiring stories of faith, courage and integrity from different historical and cultural contexts
  • Develop and apply practical strategies for exploring artworks that reflect the lives and times of inspiring individuals with your students
  • Discuss the relevance of the meanings and messages expressed in historical works of art for twenty-first century classrooms
  • Develop and share ideas on how to adapt ‘Inspiring Lives’ content to support the needs and interests of your students and school community
