STORIES FROM THE NGV COLLECTION

View live broadcast

These 10-minute talks introduce some of the stories and themes in QUEER: Stories from the NGV Collection. Catch one before you see the exhibition or drop by afterwards for added insights.

Up next: Art in the Age of AIDS – NGV curator Ted Gott considers works produced by such artists as Ross T. Smith, Keith Haring and David McDiarmid amid the HIV/AIDS epidemic of the 1980s and 1990s.

Through artists and artworks in QUEER: Stories from the NGV Collection, Ted speaks about how queer artists harnessed their resilience during this period to clearly communicate a message of resistance, with art utilised as a form of activism.

Introducing QUEER: Stories from the NGV Collection will also be live broadcast online.
